Rak-Yom (Rak-Yom), appearing as two small boys similar to Guman Thong, immersed in a mysterious sacred oil “Nam Man Aatan” along with two silver takruts.
The two carved wooden dolls with clenched fists are known as Rak and Yom. The one named “Rak” is carved from dead crown trees and the one named “Yom” is carved from dead Star Gooseberry. Both these trees have roots pointing north. These enlivened effigies were carved and blessed by Luang Phor Saeng, Wat Som Poi, Buriram, about 10 years ago.
After having carved the wooden puppets Luang Phor Saeng placed them in a perfumed brass bowel and through sacred incantation called upon child spirits to take up residence, the presence of which is confirmed when the dolls move by themselves.
This amulet is ideal for ‘Metta Maha Niyom’ or love, admiration, influence, attraction compassion and mercy. Bringing the worshiper good luck and fortune. Rak Yom should be offered sweet drinks and candy similar to Guman Thong. You should recite the katha often speaking sweetly with Rak Yom with your wishes.
